MICRO:BIT PROJECTS

    In this introductory lesson, students dive into modular building by creating unique characters with OffBits parts. The activity encourages creativity, hands-on confidence, and teamwork, while laying the foundation for future design challenges.

  • Lesson 2: OffBits Meets MicroBit

    Students explore the MicroBit as a programmable tool to enhance OffBits builds. Using MakeCode, they program it to sense and display temperature—blending coding, creativity, and problem-solving in a hands-on challenge.

  • Lesson 3: Building Problem-Solving Machines

    Students design and build a vehicle for the OffBits, using coding and hardware to control movement. The activity builds engineering skills, introduces motor programming, and emphasizes teamwork and iterative design.

  • Lesson 4: OffBits and Traffic Safety

    Students build a working traffic light system for the OffBits road, programming a MicroBit and servo motor to manage traffic flow. The lesson reinforces coding, algorithm design, and real-world problem-solving.

  • Lesson 5: Innovating with OffBits

    In this capstone lesson, students combine OffBits and MicroBit to design functional models. They apply engineering, coding, and creativity—building teamwork, innovation, and confidence in problem-solving.
